PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the sealing performance of a valve 7 of an EGR control valve 2 when fully closed by giving circulating motion thereto in the circumferential direction around a rotational center axis of a rotating shaft 51 of a valve shaft 6. SOLUTION: The approximately L-shaped valve shaft 6 is provided for converting the rotating motion given from a driving motor into linear motion in the circumferential direction around the rotational center axis of the rotating shaft 51 and transmitting it to the valve 7 of the EGR control valve 2, whereby the valve 7 assembled on the outer periphery of a valve mounting portion 55 at the front end of the valve shaft 6 has circulating motion in the circumferential direction around the rotational center axis of the rotating shaft 51. Namely, the valve 7 is operated to be open/closed in the circumferential direction around the rotational center axis of the rotating shaft 51 of the valve shaft 6. Thus, the whole valve face periphery of the valve 7 has sealing contact with a protruded valve seat 35 of a nozzle 34 when the valve is fully closed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
