PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EL(electroluminescence) light-emitting device giving sufficiently high luminance as such, and to provide an EL fluorophor powder for use therein. SOLUTION: The EL fluorophor powder comprises fluorophor particles containing an activator and a coactivator both using zinc sulfide as matrices, wherein the projected area of fluorophor particles having≥1.5 axis ratio(major axis/minor axis) among the total fluorophor particles accounts for≥30% of the projected area of the total fluorophor particles.
