PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition having excellent transparency, heat resistance, toughness and other mechanical characteristics. SOLUTION: The transparent resin composition is composed of 1-99 wt.% of the following resin composition (a) and 99-1 wt.% of an amorphous nylon having specific refractive index characteristics. The resin composition (a) is composed of 50-99 wt.% of a maleimide-olefin copolymer composed of 40-60 mol% of a specific maleimide residue unit and 60-40 mol% of a specified olefin residue unit and having≥1×10<SP>3</SP>to≤5×10<SP>6</SP>number-average molecular weight and 50-1 wt.% of an acrylonitrile-styrene copolymer containing 21-45 wt.% of an acrylonitrile unit.
