PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manual lifting device that does not require power supply and can be lifted up by easy manual operation. SOLUTION: The manual lifting device 1 has a guide rail 2 along the inclination of stairs, a lifting platform 3 traveling along the guide rail 2, a lifting means 4 for makes the lifting platform 3 travel, and a driving means 5 for driving the lifting means 4 by manual operation on the lifting platform 3, and allows a user H to manually operate the driving means 5 on the lifting platform 3 to allow lifting. A weight 5b of a predetermined weight is movably disposed along the guide rail 2, the weight 5b and the lifting platform 3 are interconnected see-saw-operably by a cable strip via the top of the guide rail 2, total weight of the lifting platform 3 and the user H is canceled by the own weight of the weight 5b, and the lifting platform 3 can be lifted up by operating the driving means 5 by a small force.
