The brake booster (2) is normally arranged between a bulkhead wall and an engine mounting (4) looking in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and at a distance from the engine mounting. At least one engine mounting sliding slope (5) is formed on the engine mounting and at least one booster sliding slope (6) is formed on the booster so that in a collision, especially a frontal collision, the booster slides on the engine mounting.
