PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an excessive current from being caused to flow from a primary transfer device to an intermediate transfer body. SOLUTION: A feedback current sensor 201 detects a feedback current IRcaused to flow between a conductive brush 42 of a cleaning device 11 and a ground part. A control part 203 controls the voltage that a constant voltage source 202 of the primary transfer device 24 of an image forming unit 16A outputs based upon the detected feedback current IR.
