PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for molding an aluminum alloy material by which the moldability of a 6,000 series aluminum alloy material whose moldability is worsened, can be recovered by room temperature age hardening. SOLUTION: In the method for molding an aluminum alloy material, after work strain of≥1% is previously imparted to a 6,000 series aluminum alloy material, the 6,000 series aluminum alloy material is subjected to age hardening recovery treatment to be heated at 50 to 150°C, thus the moldability of the aluminum alloy material is recovered, and then, the aluminum alloy is molded under ordinary conditions without performing special molding such as high temperature molding.
