PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems such that since a powered bush-cutting machine tends to have a heavy weight caused by using an operating rod, a power-transmitting shaft, etc., having a large diameter, a thick wall thickness, the insertion of a reinforcing sleeve, etc., accompanying with the use of a high powered engine, and since the engine is directly connected with cutting blades by a transmitting shaft made of iron, an impact to the engine or cutting blades can not be absorbed and frequently causing a fatal bend and breakage of the operating rod on hitting the stamp of a tree, etc., with the blades during the bush cutting of a hill, and also the large-sized operating rod causes the large-sized grip which can not be held firmly by a person having small hands. SOLUTION: This bush-cutting machine is constituted by making the operating rod 12 have a thin thickness and a small diameter, a bush 13 have a thin thickness, and the power-transmitting shaft 11 have a large-sized diameter as much as possible to have jointly a role of a sleeve adopted in a conventional bush-cutting machine for reinforcing the operating rod and also adopting cushions 16 at the both ends of the shaft. Thereby, since the rotational impact from the engine or cutting blades is absorbed, the outer diameter of the operating rod 12 can be made to have a small size and also the grip can be made to have a small size.
