<p>An automotive direct fuel injection system (10) has a pressure pump (14, 18) to a high-pressure zone (32). The assembly further has a fuel injection unit (22) delivering fuel to the combustion chamber (24). The injectors (22) are linked to the high-pressure zone (32). The fuel temperature within the high-pressure zone is modified by a slide valve (34) that is hydraulically linked to the inner volume (36, 38) of the high-pressure zone.</p>
