<p>Plant and culture container (1), in particular for growing and producing plants, which comprises a base part (3) and a side wall part (4) integral therewith, whereby these parts (3, 4) consist of a coconut fabric comprising coconut fibres connected by latex. To improve the dimensional stability and handling of these products whilst retaining their biodegradability, at least the side wall part (4) of the container (1) is provided with one or a plurality of stiffening ribs (5, 5', 5'', 5''', 5'''', 5'''''). A method for producing a plant and culture container (1) comprises forming by hot-press drying from a coconut fleece blank constructed as a semi-finished mat with open individual fibres and the latex bonding zones.</p> |
