<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a ceramic sliding member being lighter and more excellent in insulation than a metal, being chemically and thermally stable, being comprised of a ceramic material with a small secular change, being a small member having a diameter of a few millimeter or less, having sufficient strength and having unconventional surface smoothness. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the ceramic sliding member to obtain the sliding member which has a diameter of 0.5-5 mm and a length of 10-60 mm with a columnar shape and whose curved part is treated to be highly smooth has a step to add a binder to a powdered ceramic raw material and to form a columnar shaped member, a step to burn the columnar shaped member to obtain a burned member and a grinding step to grind the curved face of the burned member using at least a centerless grinding machine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
