<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain electrical equipment which has a display part and for which a power-saving mode is set, and where power is restrained from being wastefully consumed, even when it is restored from the power-saving mode. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 is equipment, for which the power saving mode is set and is equipped with a display panel 13 and a control part 9. The display panel 13 has a backlight 14.
