<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processor for performing an intra-prediction in a short time, having a small-scale structure. <P>SOLUTION: The first intra-prediction is performed concerning a macro-block MB to be processed by a prediction mode determination circuit 63, based on an intra-prediction size which is selected by the macro-block MB of a corresponding position in a frame, etc., being one frame before in encoding order, with respect to the frame, etc, of the processing object macro-block MB.
