<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the occurrence of surging due to a reverse flow of fluid in the case of a low flow rate without impairing the function as a diffuser in a centrifugal compressor. <P>SOLUTION: This centrifugal compressor includes: a suction passage 15 for sucking a fluid and guiding the same to the impeller 14; and a diffuser 16 for guiding the fluid increased in pressure by rotation of the impeller 14 to a discharge outlet 17, wherein the impeller 14 is rotatably supported on a casing 11. A circulating passage 21 is provided along the flow direction of the fluid on the back of the wall surface 22a of the diffuser 16, a first opening 27 of the circulating passage 21 is formed on the wall surface of the diffuser 15 at a predetermined distance from the fluid outlet 14a of the impeller 14, and a second opening 28 is formed on the wall surface of the diffuser 15 on the discharge outlet 17 side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
