PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indication position detection device capable of detecting indication positions of a plurality of same position indicators.

SOLUTION: This indication position detection device 1 has: a sensor part S wherein a plurality of reception coils are provided side by side in a coordinate axis direction to form a coordinate plane; an indication position detection means P1 detecting the indication position of the position indicator 30 on the basis of a level change of the reception coil according to a transmission signal transmitted by the position indicator 30 to the coordinate plane; a changeover means P2 connected with the plurality of position indicators 30, changing over one position indicator 30 transmitting the transmission signal among the plurality of position indicators 30 such that it is possible to trace tracks of the indication positions of all the position indicators 30; and a recognition means P3 recognizing that the position indicator 30 corresponding to the indication position detected by the indication position detection means P1 is the position indicator 30 changed over by the changeover means P2.
