<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact storing case preventing its hinge from protruding out of it when a lid is closed. <P>SOLUTION: This plastic-made storing case 1 is made by integrally injection-molding a case main body 3, a case lid member 5 and a hinge 7 rotatably connecting the case lid member 5 to the case main body 3. The case main body 3 comprises a bottom part 11 and a main body side wall 13. The case lid member 5 comprises a lid side wall 21 outwardly fitted to the main body side wall 13 and a top plate 23. The hinge 7 is formed to connect an edge portion of an extension part 15 of the bottom part 11 with an edge portion of the lid side wall 21. The upper surface of the edge of the extension part 15 coming into contact with the hinge 7 and the inner surface of the edge portion of the lid side wall 21 are chamfered into a triangular shape in section at an angle of 45°, respectively. In addition, the hinge 7 is formed to have a thin band-like shape where the chamfered portions of the extension part 15 and the lid side wall 12 are connected at a substantial half position from the inner surface when the lid is closed.
