PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the electrostatic capacity of an etching foil for an aluminum electrolytic capacitor, and to reduce the variation in electrostatic capacities. SOLUTION: In manufacturing equipment of the etching foil for an electrolytic capacitor, an aluminum foil is first passed between a pair of entrance-side electrodes in an etching bath, and then via rollers in the liquid. The aluminum foil is then passed through a pair of exit-side electrodes in the etching bath to be applied with current and thereby be etched, and a distance between the electrodes at the liquid level is set 1.5 to 2.0 times as large as one at the lower end of the electrodes. The electrodes have a trapezoidal or triangular cross-sectional shape, and the effective electrode length of the exit-side electrodes is 0.60 to 0.90 times as large as the effective electrode length of the entrance-side electrodes.
