PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel which prevents discoloration and deterioration of transmissivity of light of the glass substrate and dielectric layer even if an Ag electrode is formed on the glass substrate containing Na. SOLUTION: In the plasma display 1, first oxide layers (13, 23) are formed between glass substrates (9, 11) and Ag electrodes (15, 25) and second oxide layers (17, 27) are formed between the Ag electrodes and dielectric layers (19, 29). Since the whole outer surface of the Ag electrodes is covered by the oxide layer, it has an excellent effect of preventing Ag from diffusing in the glass substrate and the dielectric layer, and the discoloration and deterioration of transmissivity of light of the glass substrate and dielectric layer caused by Ag becoming colloidal can be suppressed.
