PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembly of a connector and a shield plate capable of responding to a request of electromagnetic environment compatibility (EMC) which can not be sufficiently satisfied in the past because the length of a conductor part of a connector pin extending from a socket part disposed in the upper stage to a plug part is inevitably increased due to the shape of a connector such as the so-called 21-pin SCART where socket parts are arranged vertically in upper and lower stages by using the plug part as a base surface, thereby unnecessary radio waves are emitted from the connector or external noise is picked up. SOLUTION: By forming, on a shield plate 9 having an L-shaped bent part covering the upper part of the connector, a plurality of projection-like connection pieces 11 projecting in the direction of ground pins from respective parts corresponding to arrangement positions of a plurality of ground pins 10 out of an edge part of the L-shaped bent part and in an L-shaped form, this assembly of the connector and the shield plate composed so as to bring the plurality of connection pieces into contact with the plurality of ground pins respectively corresponding to them is provided, whereby desired electromagnetic environment compatibility (EMC) can be realized.
