PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to read the data recorded on a recording medium even when the recording has not been normally finished. SOLUTION: The AV data buffering is started in step S1. A salvage marker SM#n is created in step S3. When the AV data have been buffered for one turn, a salvage marker, the audio data, and the video data are recorded in this order on an optical disk in step S5. The information stored in the nonvolatile memory is updated in step S6. When it is decided to finish recording, the salvage marker, the audio data and the video data recorded on the optical disk are reflected to the file system in step S9.
