PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise a read speed in reproducing a recording medium. SOLUTION: When a clip #1 is recorded, it is recorded with index files 134-1, 135-1, a clip information file 151-1, and a clip metadata file 162-1 in this order from a front side of physical address of an optical disk to a back side. When a clip #2 is recorded, it is recorded with a clip metadata file 162-2, a clip information file 151-2, and index files 134-2, 135-2 in this order from the front side of the physical address to the back side. When a clip #3 is recorded, it is recorded with index files 134-3, 135-3, a clip information file 151-3, and a clip metadata file 162-3 in this order from the front side of physical address to the back side.
