PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the density unevenness in an end region of a film where such unevenness is liable to be caused by film characteristics and the characteristics of an image recording device. SOLUTION: At the time of creating shading correction data, the density in the width direction of the image formed on the film in a developing section 3 according to test data is measured by a density measuring instrument 7. The result of the density measurement is outputted to a controller 81. Then, a correction amount of the density is determined based on the result of the density measurement in the controller 81 and the shading correction data is created according to the determined correction amount. At this time, the correction units of the density correction are so set as to vary in the end region in the width direction of the film 1 and another region and the shading correction data determined of the density correction amount is created by each set correction unit. Also, the shading correction data set in such a manner that the density correction in the end region in the width size of the film 1 varies from the density correction unit of the other region is created by each of the width sizes thereof based on the result of the density measurement.
