PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical isolator incorporated semiconductor laser module, wherein variety control is simplified by allowing optical isolator parts to be small-sized and integrated, and short delivery schedule correspondence and cost reduction are attained in the case the shapes of metallic holders that hold a fiber stub are diversified. SOLUTION: A fiber stub 3 incorporating an optical isolator is constituted by joining a quadrilateral shaped optical isolator element, that is integrally made by polarizer 6 and a Faraday rotator 7, through a joining member to the tip surface of a ferrule 2 into which an optical fiber 1 is inserted into a through-hole of the center section and fixed, wherein a joining member layer is provided between the end face of the optical fiber and the optical isolator element and an optical isolator 11 is set so that the joining area of the optical isolator element and the joining member is made greater than the area of the optical fiber end face and is made smaller than the area of the inscribed circle at the plane of the optical isolator.
