PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change a transfer amount of heat from an endless belt 10 to a fixing roller 2. SOLUTION: A fixing device comprises the fixing roller 2, a pressure roller 4, belt support rollers 6 and 8, the endless belt 10 wound between them of the belt support rollers 6 and 8 and pressure-contacting the partial region of an outer peripheral face on the partial region of the outer peripheral face of the fixing roller 2, a heating means 6H for heating the belt support roller 6, and a belt support roller displacement mechanism 20 for modifying a nip width of a nip region 10N of the endless belt 10 and the fixing roller 2.
