摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a determination time for determining the presence of a change in a flow rate, to detect a slight variation in the flow rate, and to enhance safety performance. SOLUTION: This gas meter includes a momentary flow measuring means 3A for measuring a monetary flow rate of gas passing through a gas flow passage, a storage means 16 for storing the monetary flow rate measured in every fixed time interval by the momentary flow measuring means 3A, an n-degree average calculation means 3B for reading out the momentary flow rate stored in the storage means 16 to calculate a latest n-degree (n is integer) average, an n-degree average calculation means 3C before n-times for reading out the momentary flow rate stored in the storage means 16 to calculate an n-degree average before n-times, a comparison means 3D for comparing a flow rate variation obtained based on the latest n-degree average and the n-degree average before n-times with a prescribed flow variation threshold value, and a flow variation determination means 3E for determining the presence of the change in the flow rate of the gas, based on a comparison result by the comparison means 3D.
