PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen residue separator capable of separating screen residue from water in an energy-saving manner without using any exclusive power source such as an electric motor. SOLUTION: The screen residue separator is constructed by providing a rotary rake 2 that rakes screen residue in a cylindrical screen 1 in a manner that the rake 2 can be concentrically swirled inside the cylindrical screen 1, fitting the rotary rake 2 with impellers 21, providing a buffer tank 3 into which sewage containing the screen residue is fed and which attenuates the stream of the sewage over the cylindrical screen 1, feeding overflow water from the buffer tank 3 into the impellers 21, and providing a rotary scraper 4 that is rotated by the driving force of the rotary rake 2 and scrapes the screen residue S behind the rotation of the rotary rake 2.
