<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable continuous travel of a vehicle without overdischarge of a battery even at a time of failure of a motor and a generator in a control device for a hybrid vehicle having the motor 3 and an engine 2 generating driving force of the vehicle and the generator 4 for charge connected to a planetary gear mechanism 1 and generating driving force and electric power by each balance torque. <P>SOLUTION: Rotation of the generator is restricted by an electromagnetic clutch 11 at a time of failure of the motor and the generator. Since engine output can be transmitted to a vehicle drive system by restricting rotation of the generator, travel of the vehicle can be continued based on engine output. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
