<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain high quality images by enabling adjustment of the image quality of the overlapped colors, regardless of the changes in the environments or changes due to aging, when forming color images in an IOI system. <P>SOLUTION: Breaking down the reference color components for overlapping to single color components, the pulse widths of each of laser beams 16Y-16K is set up in accordance with an IOI data table 33, which records the pulse width of each broken down color. The images are adjusted and maintained by rewriting the pulse widths in the IOI data table 33 into the corrected widths through feeding back the color values of the development patch images 28Y-28K, formed in the pulse widths of the broken-down colors and correcting the pulse width of each of the laser beams 16Y-16K. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
