PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and surely manage a handwritten signature picture, and to facilitate the operation of a settlement terminal by an operator.

SOLUTION: The settlement terminal includes: inputting a transaction amount; acquiring a credit number from a cellular phone; and preparing credit data for transmission to a server for the settlement terminal. The server for the settlement terminal includes: conducting credit inquiry processing for the credit data; acquiring the handwritten signature picture corresponding to the credit number from a database; and transmitting the result of the credit inquiry processing and the handwritten signature picture to the settlement terminal. The settlement terminal issues a slip on the basis of the received inquiry result and displays the handwritten signature picture on a display section. The issued slip is signed, and personal identification is performed by comparing the signature with the handwritten signature picture displayed on the display section.
