PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless LAN system capable of dealing flexibly with a plurality of wireless communication terminals having various communication functions by configuring an efficient transmission frame to the plurality of wireless communication terminals contained for connection in a wireless access point unit. SOLUTION: Upon receiving a transmission frame alteration request from a wireless digital video camera 101, a wireless access point unit 102 analyzes transmission information inherent to the wireless digital video camera 101 included in the transmission frame alteration request. If the transmission area can be altered based on the results of analysis, a beacon is transmitted to wireless terminals 103-106 and the wireless digital video camera 101 in that area at transmission frame period of 404 in broadcast format (M1007, M1008, M1009).
