GEOMAGNETIC SENSOR DISPLAYING ERROR OF CALCULATED AZIMUTH, AND AZIMUTH MEASURING METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a geomagnetic sensor capable of using only a precise azimuth by determining the presence/absence of distortion in a detected azimuth and warning it, and a method therefor. SOLUTION: The geomagnetic sensor comprises a geomagnetic detection module with mutually orthogonal X-axial and Y-axial flux gates to detect an electric signal corresponding to geomagnetism; a signal processing part converting the electric signal outputted from the geomagnetic detection module to predetermined X-axial and Y-axial output values followed by outputting; a display part displaying a predetermined message on a screen; and a control part determining the presence/absence of distortion of the X-axial and Y-axial output values, and controlling the display part, in case that distortion is present, to display a warning message.
