The peeler for oranges or grapefruit has a long handle (1), to which a spoon-shaped blade (5) is attached. This has a sharp edge (6) for peeling and a pointed blade (20) on the opposite side for cutting into the peel. The depth of the cut can be controlled by a curved section (10) on the same side as the blade which rests on the outside of the fruit.
