Method for creating sealing layers for multi-layer systems, e.g. for the ground, roofs, roadways or terraces in which a sealing layer comprising at least upper and lower layers of sealing material is deposited on a base layer. Next the two layers are jointed, at least around the outer edges. A connection element is connected to at least one point in the intermediate space between the upper and lower layers, for use in subsequent testing. If required, a load bearing layer is deposited on top of the sealing layer. The invention also relates to a sealing layer and a testing method.
