An operative melting conductor (OMC) (4) fits in a tubular sleeve body (2). An indicator (9) shows an electric fuse link's (1) 'ready/released' operating status (OS). An indicator melting conductor (13) connects electrically in parallel to the OMC. Held under tension of a spring (11) by the OMC in a 'ready to operate' OS, an indicating pin (10) links to the spring as a visible indicator of OS.
