PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless LAN base station selecting method for properly selecting a base station in better terms, and to provide a wireless LAN terminal station. SOLUTION: The method is the one to allow an STA (wireless LAN terminal station) 11 belonging to the communication area of a plurality of APs (wireless LAN base station) 12 by overlapping to select the AP 12 to be connected to the STA 11 among the plurality of APs 12. The AP to be connected is selected based on the electric field strength and communication quality of a signal which is transmitted from the AP 12 to the STA 11.
