PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound insulating device for a bridge which prevents a noise generated when a vehicle passes on an expansion/contraction device of the bridge and the noise of the vehicle coming through the expansion/contraction device. SOLUTION: The sound insulating device for the expansion/contraction part of the bridge comprises fixed frames 2, 2 fitted to the end parts 10, 10 of the adjacent bridge, respectively, and a sound insulating cover 3 fitted to the adjacent fixed frames. The sound insulating cover 3 is structured to be movable in relation to the fixed frames 2, 2 in a direction of a bridge axis. An intermediary member 4 having a long hole, which is long in a direction of the bridge axis, is interposed between the sound insulating cover 3 and the fixed frames 2, 2. The intermediary member is fixed to the sound insulating cover, and is preferably made to be movable in relation to the fixed frames in the direction of the bridge axis along the long hole which is long in the direction of the bridge axis.
