<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin-operated copying machine which does not start copying, immediately after the user depositing coins and setting copying conditions and calculates the total charge, at the accumulated stage when the document to be copied is read to a read image memory, and allows the user to select the change of the copying condition or the like, when there is lack of coins. <P>SOLUTION: The coin-operated copying machine 10 is provided with a copy condition setting means 20a, a document read means 20b, a charge calculation means 20c, a copy start permission/inhibition determining means 20d, a warning display means 20e, a copy condition change means 20f, and a copy start means 20g. A document is read by the document read means 20b, and then the charge calculation means 20f calculates the total charge from the document volume and the copy conditions. When the copy start permission/inhibition determining means 20d determines the inhibition of copy start, by comparing the amount of thrown-in money and the total charge, a copy start signal is invalidated, and a warning is displayed to the user by the warning display means 20e to prompt the user to change the setting of the copy condition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
