<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain compatibility between the improvement in reliability of recorded data and restraint on waste of power of a battery. <P>SOLUTION: In this recording apparatus for recording a control parameter in an on-vehicle control unit, it is determined whether or not the operation of the control unit 2 for outputting a control parameter to be recorded is ended.
