<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a routing method and a system thereof. <P>SOLUTION: A source edge device determines the next-hop address, corresponding to the destination address prefix of a data packet received from an external communication network, determines the address and the network interface of a target edge device corresponding to the next hop, and generates a transmission packet addressed to the target edge device. The transmission packet comprises a received data packet, the determined address of the next hop, and the determined network interface of the target edge device. The generated transmission packet is sent from the source edge device to the target edge device via an internal/external communication network by a device link layer level.
