<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rationalize a vehicular door latch device for an access panel door. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicular door latch device for an access panel door has a connection spring 46 elastically connecting an open lever 36 pivoted by the first shaft 35 to a base plate 34 and a ratchet lease lever 42, a detection lever 26 rotated by contact with the rear side panel 14 of the rear side door 12, and a lock lever 55 pivoted by the second shaft 54 to the plate 34 and displacing according to the rotation of the detection lever 26. The lock lever 55 is so constituted that when the lock lever 55 is displaced to the locking position, it comes into mechanical contact with the ratchet release lever 42 to check the rotation of the release lever 42. The connection lever 46 is provided with one leg 48 urging the open lever 36 in the first direction and the other leg 50 urging the open lever 36 and the release lever 42 in the second direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
