<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a symbol timing estimation device in which adjustment of a threshold in a symbol start detector is facilitated, reception signal distortion resistance is improved and a detection error of symbol start timing, which occurs when a plurality of antennas are used, can be suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: The symbol timing estimation device 1 is provided with an output part 5 outputting a control signal, a matched filter 41, a synchronous adder 6 selecting and outputting either a value obtained by simultaneously adding correlation values of the matched filter 41 so that weight against past correlation values becomes small by sequentially using oblivion factors or a value obtained by sequentially and simultaneously adding the correlation values of the matched filter 41 based on a control signal, a variable multiplier 7 selecting and outputting a value obtained by multiplying the correlation value of the matched filter 41 by an output value of the synchronous adder 6 or a value obtained by multiplying a prescribed value by the output value of the synchronous adder 6 based on the control signal, and a symbol start detector 8 detecting start timing of the symbol based on a comparison result of the output value of the variable multiplier 7 and the threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
