PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fan motor capable of improving the rotational stability and durability of a shaft by increasing the effective length of a bearing section, thus restraining an inclination of a rotating shaft. SOLUTION: This fan motor includes a rotating shaft 6 fixed with a fan 2, and a housing 3 for supporting one end of the rotating shaft 6. Rotors 10, 11 fixed on the side of the fan 2 and a stator 8 fixed on the side of the housing 3 are disposed so as to face each other. To prevent the rotating shaft 6 from coming off in the axial direction, a flat cover member 4 having a receiving section 12 for receiving the other end of the rotating shaft 6 is fixed on the housing 3.
