PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide portable terminal equipment with an imaging function which does not perform a photographing operation when there is a possibility that a user, etc., cannot hear a photographing operation sound. SOLUTION: An imaging part 2, a speaker 22 for outputting the pseudo photographing operation sound when the imaging part performs the photographing operation, an operation part 16, and a control part 38 for controlling the parts are arranged in the cases 6, 8 of the portable terminal equipment 30 with the imaging function. A sound issuing hole 22a of the speaker is formed in the case. When a prescribed mode is started among a plurality of the modes respectively corresponding to a plurality of functions to be utilized, the imaging part performs the photographing operation. The equipment includes a detecting part 32 for detecting the clogging of the sound issuing hole when at least a part of the sound issuing hole is clogged. The control part performs control for the prescribed mode not to start when the detecting part detects the clogging of at least a part of the sound issuing hole when the operation part operates starting the prescribed mode.
