PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical member for a backlight that is free from flexure causing a video defect. SOLUTION: The member for the backlight is constituted by forming ionizing radiation setting type resin layers on both surfaces of a base material, at least one of the ionizing radiation layers functioning as a function layer. Alternatively, the member is constituted so as to have the ionizing radiation setting type resin layers on both surfaces of the base material and the function layer on at least one surface of the ionizing radiation setting type resin layer.
