PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle capable of comfortably air-conditioning the approximately whole area in a cabin without feeling a cooling air sense to an occupant. SOLUTION: In the air conditioner for the vehicle, a cooling duct 2 for feeding air-conditioned air into a cabin is divided/arranged at an upper part and left and right sides in the cabin. Any of a plurality of blowing out ports of an occupant direction blowing out port 10, a window direction blowing out port 11 and a ceiling direction blowing out port 12 are provided on the cooling duct 2 and any of the blowing out ports 10-12 can be selected by blowing port switching means 7, 13-15. According to this, for example, the occupant direction blowing out port 10 is selected when the occupant wants to feel the cooling air sense at cool down immediately after starting the air-conditioning. On the contrary, the window direction blowing out port 11 or the ceiling direction blowing out port 12 is selected when the air conditioned state becomes in the constant state.
