PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working method for connecting a floating body capable of easily, safely and quickly performing the connecting work of the floating bodies floating on water surface each other or the connection work between the floating body and the quay. SOLUTION: The connection device 4 having structure capable of oscillating in three axial directions using a universal joint 401 on the upper surface of the small sized floating base 3 is detachably installed on the connection floating base 5 with bolts. The connection floating base 5 floats on the water surface between the floating bodies 1, 2. The connection floating base 5 is moved to one of the floating bodies 1 with a mooring winch device to fix the one end of the connection device 4 of the connection floating base 5 to the periphery of the floating body 1. Next, the floating body 1 and the connection floating base 5 are approached to the other floating body 2 and the other end of the connection device 4 of the connection floating base 5 is mounted to the peripheral edge of the floating body 2. Afterward, the mounting of the connection device 4 of the connection floating base 5 with the floating base 3 is unloosed to separate the floating base 3, and the floating bodies 1, 2 are connected with the connection device 4 by moving out from the water surface between the floating bodies 1, 2.
