PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot machine to be easily handled in the replacement, maintaining productivity and economy high, and excellent in the maintainability. SOLUTION: The vertically separated type slot machine comprises a lower unit and an upper unit mounted and fixed on top of the lower unit. The upper unit comprises a box-shaped upper casing with an opening on the front face and an upper front door for closing the opening in such a way that the door can be opened/closed; and at least a reel unit and a control device are mounted inside the upper casing. The lower unit comprises a box-shaped lower casing with an opening on the front face and a lower front door to close the opening in such a way that the door can be opened/closed; and at least a hopper, a reel unit and a power source unit are mounted inside the lower casing. The vertically separated type slot machine also has an upper/lower front door fixing means for fixing the upper front door and the lower front door with the upper unit mounted and fixed on top of the lower unit.
