An ink jet recording material is disclosed comprising a support and at least one binder containing ink-receiving layer, further containing a light-stabilizing compound according to following general formula (I): <?in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?>A-L-R (I) <?in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="tail"?> wherein, A is represented by following formula: the symbols of which are defined in the claims and description. The finished ink jet image shows an improved light-fastness.
