The inhalation therapy device comprises an aerosol generator ( 2 ) and a mixing chamber ( 3 ). The introduction of ambient air is achieved by means of supply channels ( 9 ) under the control of an inspiration valve ( 20 ), including an aerosol passage ( 22 ), a region with inspiration air through openings ( 23 ) and a valve element ( 21 ). The aerosol passage ( 22 ) surrounds the membrane ( 6 ) of the aerosol generator ( 2 ), whereby a front face edge ( 22 a) of the tubular aerosol passage ( 22 ) lies along a sealing line ( 20 a) on a surface of the aerosol generator ( 2 ).
