[Also in Division B4] A die rule 2 is mounted in a slot 7 of an arcuate wooden block 6 by positioning the die rule between a cut out plug and the wall of the slot, and pouring a hardening epoxy resin over ears 11 bent from the die rule, the resin securing the die rule in position and forming fillets 14, Fig. 4, to stiffen the die rule. The block 6 is attached to an arcuate support on the roller of a rotary cutter. The ears 11 are bent alternately inwardly and outwardly and are interspersed with depending legs 12, cutting serrations 4 being provided on the upper edge of the rule.</p> |
